the story of the little babe

August 15... We found out we were expecting a little one to arrive in April.  (what a great birthday present!)

This is how I told Chase,  I literally had about 10 minutes to throw something together before he got home from work.

We were THRILLED!

This little babe has been quite the adventure for me & chase already. ha ha

I have never felt so sick, tired, dizzy, drained... etc.
I know it will be totally worth it in the end.

It is crazy to think that in 2.5 weeks we will be HALF WAY THERE!

wooo hooo!! before we know it little baby adams will be here!

17.5 weeks... starting to really show!

I have craved Pickles & Jamba... These are life savers these days.

I'll try to keep this blog up to date the best I can!
Our lives have been crazy busy these days!

But I will try to be a little better at this!

if the Savior stood beside me *

A couple months ago, i was called to teach the 5 year olds in our ward.  At first i thought...
wooo! no more sunday school...
I love music time!
I love being with little kids!

After a few weeks, my thoughts changed.  I started to think.. WOW this is way harder than i had imagined.  These kids never stop talking, and they get so easily side tracked.  I got down on my knees are prayed to God that i would be able to teach them something and that I would be able to not get frustrated.... That is when i realized, i was not called for them.  I was put in this calling for myself.  I have learned so so much from these beautiful souls.

This past week we have been working on our Primary Program!!  I was sitting there with my class & we started to sing If the Savior stood beside me- this has always been one of my all time favorite Primary Songs.  As i looked around the primary room at all of the children, it brought tears to my eyes. Hearing their innocent sweet voices sing the words of this song... i truly felt so close to God.  These kids have taught me how to love unconditionally and how to forgive so easily.  They have taught me to relax and to always turn to Jesus and Heavenly Father when we need him. I know that God lives and that He loves me so so much, and that he will always make things work out for the best.

I always remind myself that God has a plan, and EVERYTHING ALWAYS WORKS OUT.  I feel so blessed to be married to my Husband Chase.  He keeps me on track, and helps me remember that God always has a plan, and HIS plan is THEE best plan.  I am truly such a lucky girl & can't wait for the little babe to meet their Dad.

I feel very blessed!

I am very blessed!

oh... & i promise to blog this weekend about the sweet baby!

wow.. .

It has been a while since i've taken the time to blog away!  My mind is going crazy, and wont stop thinking tonight.  This week has been extremely packed full of all sorts of life experiences!  Just a few things i've been thinking about lately...

love                          respect                                            family
             lulu                                     gospel

sewing                arts & crafts                        chalkboard paint

       eternal marriage              temples                                 friendship

work ethic                   happiness                         moving boxes                 packing

                snuggling                         running                             movies

my mind is all over the place!!  a few things that i really would love to do:
1. Finish moving & unpack everything before September 1!
2. Find an old antique table that i can paint with chalkboard paint!!
3. Start going to the temple with Chase EVERY week!
4. Run a half marathon before christmas... even if it means jogging part of it, i want to say i have finished a half marathon!
5. I really want to buy myself a sewing machine, so i can be crafty!!

2 a.m. wake up call

On Thursday June 8, Chase and I ate dinner and got in bed. We had rented a couple of movies and like always I was out after the first.  We had both fallen sound asleep.  The next thing I knew I was sitting up in an unbelievable amount of pain.  There was a sharp stabbing feeling in my chest  and back that radiated down my left arm (which was staring to lose sensation). I tried standing up to go get a drink,  I took a few tums (thinking it could have been REALLY BAD heartburn).  Nothing was helping.  By this point there were tears running down my face.  Crying made the pain worse.
I was scared, I thought i was having a Heart Attack.  In all my medical classes i have taken, you learn chest pain and left arm pain/numbness in NOT a good sign.
I tapped Chase and said "I think i'm having a heart attack!"
Chase immediate got up and said what do we need to do.
He gave me a blessing, and then talked about what we should do.
Me being the penny pincher that i am did not want to go to the E.R. due to costs.
But after an hour, i couldn't take it anymore.
We got the insurance cards and headed over to Timp Hospital.
We got registered and put in a room.
They did an EKG, Chest X-Ray, Blood Tests, etc...
While waiting for the tests to come back, Chase and I watched Cupcake Wars and Chopped.  (I truly have the best husband for going to the ER with me at 3 in morning and watching cupcake wars)
Every time i would start to fall asleep, my pulse would drop below 50, and all the machines would beep, causing Chase and I to both wake up.
about an hour later...

Everything came back clear.
My heart is perfectly healthy
My Kidneys looked great
My Lungs looked great except...
that the lining on the inside of my left lung was inflamed.
This was causing my rib cage to stab at my lung and cause the pain everywhere.
They shot me up with some Naproxen, which truly helped the pain.

Apparently so many things can cause pleurisy, so we are unsure of what onset it.
Thankfully we know that everything looks great and is healthy and we know what to do IF it does happen again.

I can say i am truly grateful for my sweet husband and for the way he lives to be worthy of holding the priesthood.  I am grateful that he can give me blessings when i need them.  He is such an inspiration to me, and i strive to live more and more like him each day.  He is my best friend!

lulu lemon

Friday April 13,2012...
Chase and I decided to go to Shoots for dinner.
On Occasion we stop in at animal ark, just for fun to see the little shih tzu's.
We decided it was on the way and would only take  few minutes.
BAD IDEA! ha ha
We ended up falling in love with a little girl and immediately named her lulu lemon, after the athletic store in new york.

She has been such a bundle of joy!
so full of energy and excitement.

Chase and I are so glad we bought her and wouldn't change it for anything.
Here are some pictures of lulu the stinky girl.

i LOVE these two.  this is how i found them sleeping on night.

That's all for now!
Life is great!
We are so blessed for how everything has worked out with school, work, and everything.
We feel so blessed to know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows each of us.

new happenings

wow.. it has been quite some time, hasn't it?
I need to get better at blogging, that is a must.

I can't believe how fast time passes, Chase and i have been married for 9 months come this Thursday!
oh, i love being able to say that, i can't wait until it's 1 year or better yet... 60 years!
I love being married, it honestly is the best adventure i have ever been on, i learn so many new things each and gain such a great appreciation for families and my parents!

Most of our free time is spent with our families, it is what will matter the most in 10 years.  I know that we will look back and be so happy that we are so close with everyone.  I love seeing all the little kids in the families.  I love spending time and thinking of the days when Chase and I will have our own little family.  Chase will be the worlds best dad!!

I am learning the life lesson right now of not stressing... Everything always works out.  It is so hard for me to see the big picture.  I see life a day at a time and i need to learn to start seeing the world out 5 years from now.  Chase helps put things into perspective. He is honestly my better half!

It is truly funny how things change without realizing it...
Chase and I hang out with Amanda... 24/7.
She is our best friend right now. ha ha we love it!  who would've thought?
We do everything together... oh and we may or may not be hooked on Farrs Ice Cream right now!
