the waiting game

less than a month until Henry's official due date.

I am so excited for him to come and to hold him for the first time.

Everyone keeps asking me if i am nervous.... ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

I just want him here already! I have no fears about labor/delivery/postpartum business..
I have faith that everything will go great, i don't have a "set plan"
nothing about pregnancy has gone "as planned" haha... i've learned to just go with the flow.

a few new things about this little guy:

  • He now prefers the center of my belly & he takes up the whole thing.  His feet up under my rib cage, and his head down in my pelvis. I think he likes getting his back rubbed (he must get that from me)  haha.. (the whole pregnancy he has preferred the right side, so it's been a nice change)
  • He has me craving shakes.  Thick Oreo Banana Shakes!  This is probably not the best thing to be craving while on bed rest & not being able to work out...
  • Henry knows when people want to see him.. especially the Doctors at NST's.  He always goes into a deep sleep while we try to observe him... We try to buzz him (he kicks and rolls over). We try caffeine, juice, sugar water... rolling on my sides. nothing seems to get this boy up.  He is a stubborn boy in there.
      • & Because of his lack of his heart accelerating like it should.. he gets a non reactive result.  So usually after spending an hour + at the doctors office 2 times a week... they send us over to the hospital for more testing, which usually takes at least an hour if not more. The Doctors aren't concerned about this. They just aren't pleased with it. He has scored 8/10 the past 2 weeks... That is a B!  Not good enough. haha we would love him to score a 10/10.
  • For the past couple weeks Henry decides to get up at 10pm and stay up until 7 am...  The result... me being up all night, and sleeping from 7-9am.  My sleep schedule is very messed up, which i'm sure will not go back to normal anytime soon.  My hips and back hurt like crazy these days, and it's impossible to even think about getting comfortable to go to sleep.
Nevertheless... WE LOVE HIM! We wouldn't trade these days for anything.   We can't wait to have our little family grow by one!

Here are a few random pictures of recent things.

yes lulu did test out the bassinet... she loves the swaying motion and the lullabys.
